I. With the Dawn of Time
If the ice ages receded and the initial human teams roamed the humid valleys of your Cantabrian Sea, the lands we now contact Euskal Herria have been previously a refuge. Rome arrived, but hardly ever entirely subdued them. The mountains, forests, and local resistance intended that Romanization was constrained: roads, bridges, agricultural villas… though the language and several customs continued by themselves path.
III. Between Empires: The Early Center Ages
After the tumble of Rome, these lands lay amongst two worlds: the Frankish and also the Visigothic.
During this time, a reputation emerged that will resonate for hundreds of years: Vasconia.
• In Navarre, the Vascones arranged them selves all around Pamplona.
